Parkland College Offers New Classes

From the office of Jonathan Ross (jross@parkland.edu)

I have two opportunities I hope you can pass along to your members. All automotive classes start the 1st week of June. Both are three credit hours. Tuition will be just under $300. The classes are 8 weeks in length. If possible please post on you web site as you will not meet again as a group until after classes start.

AFD 253 - Steering Suspension and Alignment. Meets Tuesday and Thursday 10-noon for lecture and 4 hours of lab each week is TBA. introduction to steering, suspension, and alignment. Each student will need to complete three alignments along with other steering / suspension work. Great class if you are available during the day.

AFD 296 - Aftermarket Parts Evaluation. Tuesday and Thursday nights 6pm-10pm . Apply a simple scientific approach to aftermarket changes to your vehicle or one of ours. Time will be spent on developing a plan for the required changes, testing methods, the anticipated results compared to actual. Great class for independent projects that need lab space to be completed. We usually do not have enough time for engine swaps, but most other work can be completed.

Please have anyone interested contact me by e-mail.
